Our House in the Middle of Our Street...

I haven't posted for a while and there is lots to share....

We moved into our new house! The first things into the house, as per Filipino tradition, was rice and salt.

Logan got his first two teeth!

And I got all four of my wisdom teeth out. :( Ouch!

Marcy and Anthony's Wedding

This Saturday was Marcy and Anthony's wedding. It was a very quite wedding -until Logan started farting and making a stinky while the priest was talking....After Allan and I stifled our laughter I took him out to the Jeep to change his diaper in trunk.

Logan was very happy to stay with Grandma and Grandpa while we went out for the night.

We had a blast!

Apparently so did Logan...

Going Bananas!

Hi Zia Sarah!
Thank you for the outfit you gave me. Don't I look cute?
Please come visit me -I miss you! I have lots of cuddles and hugs to give to you!

Logan at six months

I read Logan his books pretty much every day. We also get a few new ones each week from the library to keep things fresh. He's working on turning the pages by himself. Today we read every book he had before his nap...

He isn't so animated in these pictures -I guess turning pages takes lots of hard work and concentration.
After his nap we had a little photo shoot. I realized I have no 'bum pictures' of Logan! Six months have gone by and this is a glaring oversight.

6 Month Check-Up

Logan had his six month check-up yesterday. Every time we go for a check-up I feel so blessed that I have a healthy and happy baby...and that we live in Canada where health care is free. We truly have a lot to be thankful for.

Length: 69 cm

Weight: 8.38 kg /18 lbs 7 oz

Head circumference: 44.5 cm

Logan is in the 78 percentile for his length...which means that he is taller than 78% of 6 month old boys. Dad is very happy about this is already planning out the basketball drills.

I'm 6 Months Old!

We celebrated Logan turning 6 months by going to Canada's Wonderland. Last time Logan was here he wasn't old enough for the rides and just watched Mom and Dad eat funnel cakes.
Now that Logan can sit it was time for some rides! His first ride was 'Jokey's Jalopies'.
Next was 'Chopper Chase'. Logan even made some friends while we were line.
We are smiling and waving in this picture by the way...
Being six months old is hard work!

Happy Birthday, Caprii!

Our little princess celebrated her 4th birthday with a princess party! Here's King Logan enjoying the attention of the older girls. ;)
King Logan with Queen Lola.
Note the amazing 'king cape' he is wearing. I MADE THIS! Woot! Woot! An old red t-shirt, a dollar-store hand towel, a permanent black marker and fabric glue. Yes, I am very proud of it.
Logan and Auntie Shirley
My little sweatshop workers. I'm planning on selling my 'thug life' and 'emo love' key chains online. If you'd like one, please let me know what colour you want the the butterflies and hearts. This is the hottest new trend and you can own yours now for $2 plus S&H! Royal waves from Uncle Allan...
King Kiyan!
Mommy with some of the Royalty present at the party... Kings of the Basketball Courts
Logan LOVED watching all the helium balloons blowing around the ceiling. Once he grabbed one he did not want to let go and even fell asleep holding it...partying is hard work!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Lots has been happening! On Friday (08-08-08) we went to Ronnie and Shima's wedding. They had a Filipino Christian and Muslim ceremony and then a really fun reception. We left Logan at home with his Grandparents. This was really the first time that we went out for an extended amount of time together without Logan -we had a blast!

...especially since we knew that Logan was in good hands! We were happy to hear that he was well behaved and didn't try to trick the Grandparents into letting him stay up late.

Then Saturday was Lola's 94th birthday party. Here she is with all her grandchildren! On Monday we had our final walk-through of our house. Things are looking great and we will get the keys in two weeks! And Tuesday we had Korean BBQ with our good friends Simon and Fan to chat about their upcoming wedding. Congratulations!

Logan's Wordle

From Making it Lovely, I was directed to Wordle where this was created based on Logan's Baby Blog....

Male Model

Logan showed potential to be a male model from an early age. So this morning he helped me recreate what happened sometime last night.

When Logan was put to sleep he was like this -his head to the right of the crib...
When he woke up in the morning his feet were where his head once was. I have no idea how he did this; he can't get into a sitting position by himself, he can't crawl and he's only sort of rolling over. Plus the width of the crib is smaller than the length of Logan. I suppose this will forever be a mystery. Allan theory is that he sneaks out a night when we are asleep, borrows the car and visits his friends from playgroup...last night he drank too much milk and forgot which way he originally put him in the crib. My cousin Perry got my this Pooh outfit for Logan. The size is 6-12 months so it'll fit perfectly for Halloween but I thought we'd give it a test run since it's so cute and to help Logan work on those modeling poses....

"Okay! Enough already, Mommy!" In other news, our final walk through for the house is August 11th, move in date is currently set for Aug 26th and I'm getting all four wisdom teeth out on Aug 29th. Yikes!
