A Wonderful Saturday

Logan slept in until after 7am this Saturday, which started the weekend off on the right foot!

After breakfast we headed over to drop off a birthday gift to Logan's girlfriend, Carrissa. Logan enjoyed playing in the big box with her, riding on her princess car and eating all her Cheerios.
Then after a quick morning nap in the car and lunch we went to Wonderland!
We were pleasantly surprised to get a call from the UK from Helen while we were there. "Love you, Auntie H! Looking forward to playing with you in July! Big Kisses!"

Here we are in the helicopter ride...

Not so impressed when the ride ended...

On to the next ride!

Back home for a nap for Logan and Mommy and we then we were off to meet Lola, Lolo and the cousins.

The fish tank at the restaurant was a big hit. We're thinking about getting one...Allan would like a lizard more but I think fish are easier to take of and better since they can't escape.

Tito Lee and Tita E Visit!

Tito Lee and Tita E came to visit on Sunday. They taught Logan how to stack his building blocking that Tito Simon gave him for his birthday. Before he only liked to knock over towers or disassemble the blocks piece by piece.

It's been a while since Erica visited. She's back in Ontario for a few weeks before heading over to Ireland to a nurse there. What an adventure!

Wonderland 2009

We got season passes again this year to Wonderland. Logan is going to have a blast this year -he was able to go five rides this Saturday. Before he would go on two and then need a nap.

Some of the kiddie rides were too scary for Daddy!

The day was a bit overcast but it was about 20 degrees Celsius and it didn't really rain like they had called for -only sprinkled for like five minutes. And look who we came across on our way out! Logan's cousins!

On the way home Logan entertained us with a new sound to show us how happy he was with our fun day!

Logans First Consert

Wednesday at lunch and after work I went to the Queens Park May 13th protest regarding the violence against Tamils in Sri Lanka. I'm undecided on the 'Tamil Tiger debate' but feel that it has become a human rights issue. I think that Canada should have a role in speaking out and was happy to show my support. Allan and I participated in the anti-war marches and protests during the outset of the whole Iraq/Afghanistan Bush fiasco. I hope we can pass this on to our son -to exercise your freedom of speech, stand up for what you believe in, participate in public protests peacefully and to appreciate how great a country Canada is.
Then it was off to Logan's first 'concert' at his daycare. Here he is sitting on the stage ready to preform -note the lack of the other kids sitting beside him. Two kids starting crying and one clung to his dad and wouldn't let go. Logan is the youngest and other kids were only between two and four years old, so this wasn't a surprise .

So instead of watching a live performance we watched the dress rehearsal on tv. The kids got a big kick out this. Logan's teacher even made a copy of the DVD for everyone to take home -what a great idea!

We can't wait to show Lola, Lolo, Grandma and Grandpa Logan's performance! For those of you who will miss it -it consists of Logan just sitting there while all the kids do the actions to the story and then him rolling around and getting up and trying to run away. LOL What a superstar!

There was even a little slideshow...

Mother's Day 2009: Sunday at Lola's

Dad finally got the DJ Lance Rock hat the he wanted...
We went to Lolo's and Lola's for lunch and supper on Sunday. I was zonked and since it was Mother's Day I treated myself to a nap after lunch. Unfortunately this resulted in me not even getting one picture of Logan with his Lola or Great Lola. :P
I was awake for the trip to the park with the cousins though...

Mother's Day 2009: Saturday at Great Grandma's

Logan has grown a lot since Mother's Day last year! This year he decorated jewellery boxes for his grandmothers. It was a bit messy but he had lots of fun doing it.

Great Grandma got this bamboo xylophone from Auntie Thao's family in Vietnam. Logan really liked making music on it.

He also really liked licking the spatula and spoons of Auntie Di's whipped cream with Uncle Bill.

Here's Logan sitting in the high chair that Grandma once used!

Logan was very happy to get the chance to hang out and play with his cousin's Calinda and Kalan.

Happy Mother's Day!

Our Little Helper

Grandma and Grandma came for a visit for a few days while Daddy was away. Logan was very good a being their helper.
He helped Grandpa fix things, swept the sidewalk and helped with the gardening!
